Abstract:
The invention claims a method for extracting oil from arachnoid by a supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) method with and without a co-solvent. The extraction process is carried out using carbon dioxide as supercritical fluid, at a pressure ranging from about 220 bar to 360 bar and at a temperature of about 45 °C, for comminuted arachnoid using roots/roots of different mesh sizes. In addition, the volatile fraction is separated from the supercritical fluid at a reduced pressure in the range of about 10 bar to 60 bar. Then, a polar solvent (ethanol) is used as a cosolvent to extract the same material. qualitatively comparing the essential oil obtained from steam distillation and supercritical fluid extraction.
