Abstract:
A Millimeter-wave Band Multi-layered Antenna Element, Array structure and process of fabrication the same comprising antenna radiating element, top antenna substrate layer, bottom antenna substrate layer, ground plane or slot plane and feed line, antenna array power divider network. Multilayer configuration consists of a metallic slot plane cum ground plane, sandwiched between two substrate layers, with antenna elements and feed network at the top and bottom of the dielectric substrates. Antenna and (or) its extension as antenna array may be able to transmit and receive airwave signals at millimeter-wave frequencies, precisely at 60 GHz or any other frequencies, if designed to operate at other frequency. The present invention allows possible integration of the antenna array at back side with associated active or passive electronic components required for wireless radio access networks or wireless communication modules.
