| Abstract: | The present invention introduces a polydopamine functionalized Ti3AlC2 MAX phase modified glassy carbon electrode for the simultaneous electrochemical detection of lead (Pb) and copper (Cu). By immobilizing a thin layer of polydopamine onto the surface of the Ti3AlC2 MAX phase, the polydopamine functionalized Ti3AlC2 MAX phase modified electrode enhances the electrochemical properties, resulting in improved sensitivity, selectivity, and stability for the detection of heavy metal ions. The polydopamine layer serves as a versatile platform for efficient heavy metal ion binding, providing a high-density active site for their electrochemical detection. |
