| Abstract: | The present invention describes a portable device for detection of cTnI. The complete kit consists of ready to use electrodes and a portable read-out device. Both are to be used together for cTnI estimation. The disposable electrodes fabricated in the invention are screen printed using the optimized composition of conductive ink, aniline, and amine functionalized reduced graphene oxide. The electrode functionalization is done to facilitate the antibody binding in the electrode system and keep the antibodies well bound during several modifications and sample analysis steps. The point of care sensing system utilizes electrochemical (amperometric) signal in the read-out obtained by reading disposable screen printed electrodes for analyzing sample. The signal obtained in the read-out is directly proportional to the concentration of cTnI. The analysis is fast, accurate and requires low volume. The device is portable, low cost and open ended, hence highly useful to be used in several other disease biomarkers. | ||
