Most of the presently used synthetic dyes are carcinogenic in nature, still they are used in Food, Pharmaceutical and Textile industries. CSIR-NEIST has developed a process for production of natural dyes with a purity of 99%. The process involves use of indigenously developed membrane and a green solvent. |
