Abstract:
The present invention provides the hydrothermal synthesis of coal waste material (CWM) based zeolite using 10%tetrapropylammonium hydroxide (TPAOH) as  structure-directing agent (SDA) as well as a template for the zeolite. The said process comprises the mixing of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) with CWM in the ratio 1: X  (X=0.3-1.5).The mixture was fused in the temperature 800°C for 2hrs with ramping rate of 1°C/min. Then fused mass was acid treated, followed by washing and an  appropriate amount of water, and TPAOH was introduced into this and then placed for aging for 24-48hrs and; after that the material obtained was placed for  crystallization for 60 to 120 hours. After crystallization, the mother solution was filtered and dried and then calcined at 550°C for 4hrs with a ramping rate of 1°C /min.
