| Abstract: | This invention pertains to the production of protein (CP) from Chlorella sorokiniana (SVMBIOEN3) (NCIM 5561) with significant nutritional benefits. C. sorokiniana is cultivated in a growth medium containing essential macro and micronutrients, using sodium acetate as a carbon source and sodium nitrate as a nitrogen source. This cultivation method results in a substantial biomass with a high protein content. The C. sorokiniana protein produced is rich in protein, comprising 54.4 % of its composition, and contains eight essential amino acids (EAA) at 26.36 % and nine non-essential amino acids (NEAA) at 73.36 %. |
