| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a pyrano[3,2b]indoles and analogous compounds of formula 3; and a process for the preparation thereof. The invention further relates to identification of bioactivities of synthesized novel pyrano[3,2b]indoles. The novel pyrano[3,2b]indoles of Formula 3 displayed useful anti-cancer property when tested against HeLa, SKBR3 and DU145 cell lines. These compounds were also found to be non-toxic to normal HEK-293 cell lines. |
