| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a shear thinning nanocomposite based on PMR based polyimide oligomer and modified silica nanoparticles. The present 10 invention also provides a process for the in situ generation of shear thinning PMR (Polymerization monomer reactant) based cured polyimide/silica nanocomposites. The PMR based polyimide nanocomposite oligomers of present invention exhibit reduced viscosity under shear stress (shear thinning) which is useful for the transfer of PMR based polyimide oligomer from tank to die, has improved flexibility, 15 processability, higher thermal stability and desired mechanical properties. |
