| Abstract: | The slope stabilization and monitoring technique using geo-synthetic concrete mat and Internet of things (IoT) device provides a suitable slope stabilisation technique for hill/pit/dump slope reinforcement and erosion control as well as seepage- proof drainage line/water canal construction using geo-synthetic concrete cement mat, anchor bolts, iron pegs, silicon sealant, pipe line, etc. An intelligent on-line slope deformation monitoring system is also provided for continuous monitoring of slope using microcontroller-based board Arduino mini, gyroscope and string potentiometer sensors, alarm unit, display unit and global positioning system with mobile communications (GSM) module connected to a solar power supply with charge regulator. The system provides an accurate slope failure prediction technique using IoT-enabled geo-technical sensors and artificial intelligence for forecasting landslide/slope failure before occurrence of the impending hazards. The prediction software is a mixture of artificial neural network, long short-term memory neural network and reinforcement learning. The system incorporates with an early warning system through audio-visual alarm at the impending landslide/slope failure site as well as short message service (SMS) or emails to the concerned persons for taking necessary precautions whenever required. | ||
