| Abstract: | The present invention relates to tetracyclic quinolone compounds, its pharmaceutically acceptable salts and pharmaceutical compositions. The invention further relates to a combination therapeutic product comprising one or more electron transport chains for treating mycobacterial infections such as tuberculosis by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the invention to a patient. The compounds of the invention are beneficial in the methods described herein for treating mycobacterial diseases, particularly tuberculosis (TB), multi-drug resistant (MDR), extensively drug resistant (XDR), etc. |
