| Abstract: | The present invention relates to a catalyst composition for oxidation reactions. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a catalyst composition for oxidation reaction of different substrates which are prone to oxidation e.g. benzyl alcohol oxidation to benzoic acid, where the catalyst composition is obtained by waste battery materials specifically cathode material of waste Li-ion batteries (LIB). The present invention also relates to a process of oxidation of different substrates which are prone to oxidation by said catalyst composition to obtain oxygenated value added products with 100% conversion, selectivity, and yield. The said catalyst has improved effects in terms of higher recyclability and reusability. |
