Abstract:
The present invention describes an improved three-step synthetic route for the total synthesis of 17-ketoprostanozol starting from  stanolone. Each step of the synthesis has undergone various improvements, including variations in work-up procedures and reagents  used, which enhance the efficiency and yield of the synthetic process, ultimately resulting in a more reliable and robust method for the  production of 17-ketoprostanozol.
