Title:

Technology for Making PZT Actuators for Use in Vibration Control, Precision Flow Control, Energy Harvesting etc.
Value Proposition:

A process for preparation of  PZT-5H grade powders with high piezoelectric charge constant (d33=590-610pC/N) has been developed. These powders can be used for fabrication of PZT actuators by tapecasting technique, fabrication of defect free PZT tapes using the developed powders, developing simple PZT multilayered stacks/actuators, developing Amplified PZT actuators (APAs) of varied displacement etc.
Summary Application:

Vibration control of aero structures and helicopter blade.
Piezo energy harvesting from unused source of vibration
Precision flow control applications e.g. fuel injection system in automotive industries.
Advantages:

High piezoelectric charge constant.
