Abstract:
An tractor-powered Iron ore dust collecting machine (1A) comprises a tractor chassis (1), an iron ore dust collector unit, dust filtration unit, blower unit (3), dust filter  unit (8), a mechanical shaker (9), a storage container (10), a handheld flexible suction hose (11), gearbox (12), a towing hook (13). The present invention provides a  tractor chassis (1) on which the entire system is mounted. The machine (1A) can collect and filter the iron ore dust with lesser storage space and in both the forward and  reverse motion of the tractor. The machine (1A) can collect the iron ore dust at a speed of 3 to 5km per hour. The bag-type filter of the machine allows only dust  particles of size less than 10 microns into the atmosphere. The machine is operated with tractors of rating 25 hp and above and covers a 1 m wide road in a single pass.
Startup Options:
Advantages:
• Machine simultaneously collects and filters the iron ore dust helps in storing large quantities of dust with lesser storage space.
• Iron ore dust collection becomes faster as compared to manual collection leading to labor cost reduction. The machine needs only one single skilled labor (Tractor driver) to operate the system along with unskilled labor to assist in collecting the dust from the sides of the roads by using the handheld flexible suction duct occasionally. To cover the same area through manual labor it required 6 unskilled persons or even more.
• Initial capital required for the system is cheaper when compared to other self-propelled iron ore dust collector machines of the same capacity available in the market since the system is powered by a tractor.
• The special bag filter has been designed and assembled into the storage tank to provide effective filtration of the iron ore dust before allowing it into the surrounding atmosphere. The cleaning of these filters is easier & cost-effective due to its multiple usages.
• The iron ore dust can be collected both in forward and backward movement of the tractor and can be transported to the desired place for further processing and reutilization.
• Machine can be easily fitted like an implement onto any tractor of 15 to 50HP capacities.
• The machine can collect the iron ore dust at a speed of 3 to 5km per hour.
