UAV based Object Detection and Localization

Detecting ground objects from UAV and computing their GPS based localization information. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are very popularly used for surveillance, traffic monitoring, pedestrian tracking, and several defense and non-defense applications. The detection of ground objects and their location will help in several field related activities and planning of various operations. The current system uses visual camera to take images of the ground object and computing their GPS location. The object detection module has been tested for different class of objects and can be used for military or civil applications depending on use case. The two pipelines of detection and localization are modular in nature and can thus be combined together with existing commercially off-the shelf available requisite hardware.
