| Abstract: | The present invention provides tight ultrafiltration membranes and its process for the preparation by the self-assembly of aminated amphiphilic copolymer micelles. The crosslinked micelle deposited tight ultrafiltration membrane is easy to prepare via two to three steps and the copolymer concentration is very less. This will help to produce large scale membrane in a cost effective manner. The process involves the PVDF-PVP support membrane and then deposition of crosslinked micelles on the membrane surface. After deposition the membrane was dried to make micellar structure more compact. The micelle coated tight ultrafiltration membrane have high dye rejection property with long time stability. The micellar coating increases the antifouling nature of the membrane against dye and protein molecule. |
