Wafers from chicken, fish, prawn, pork, egg, or meat are innovative value added snack products developed by combining minced animal protein with starch, spices, and seasonings. The mixture is processed into thin sheets and dried to produce crisp wafers after frying or roasting. This technology enhances the utilization of animal protein resources, provides nutritious snack options, and creates new market opportunities in the RTE and convenience food sectors.

Animal based wafers are used as protein rich snack foods and are popular in households, restaurants, and packaged snack industries. After frying or roasting, the wafers become crispy and are consumed as RTE snacks or side dishes with meals.
