Wood Substitutes from Coir
Value Proposition:

Value addition to regional resources. In this technology about 50 % of coir will be used as raw material. At present, coir is exported without any value addition and the same is being imported as various value-added products. In this connection, our technology can innovate the MSMEs in coir sector and to popularize Make-in-India products that will be the mantra for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' to rise to the occasion.
Summary Application:

The process involves both thermoplastic and thermoset polymers impregnation followed by compression moulding. Process efficiency is over 90% and the product quality is superior to standard plywood
