| Summary Application: | The developed sandwiched sole plate is a heating assembly for electromagnetic induction devices, such as induction irons. It uses a multilayer structure in which a first non-ferrous metal plate with recesses allows electromagnetic radiation to reach a ferrous second metal plate in contact with it, while a heat insulator on the opposite surface minimizes heat loss. To further improve heat retention, the assembly features multiple reservoirs containing heat-retaining substances like aluminum oxide or silicon oxide powders, which hold heat longer than the metal plate itself, compensating for heat loss during use. This configuration enables efficient induction heating, with heat transferred by conduction for uniform heating, maintaining temperature longer and reducing power consumption and the need for frequent reheating. The assembly may include a retention plate to secure the heat-retaining material and applies broadly to electromagnetic induction heating devices. |
